We are looking for a Senior Scientist R&D (m/f/d) for our location in Schlieren.

Responsibilities

As a fast-growing and rapidly evolving field, proteomics is transforming into a mature, high-content, high-throughput technology. Biognosys Group is driving and leading technological progress in key areas, including unprecedented proteome coverage, proteoform analysis, and structural proteomics. As a Senior Scientist R&D (m/f/d), you will contribute to ensuring the continued advancement of our technologies and maintaining our performance leadership. Specifically, you will work on innovative sample preparation workflows for proteomics applications in both contract research and consumables development.

We are seeking a talented expert in proteomics workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proteomics sample preparation and mass spectrometry acquisition, as well as experience with programming languages such as R. If you are a motivated individual who is passionate about using cutting-edge technology to drive progress in biotechnology within a highly collaborative team environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting new position.

  • Responsible for proteomics workflow development
  • Innovation for sample preparation (including intellectual property)
  • Innovation of acquisition on the MS
  • Writing SOP and training of scientific operations contract research
  • Prototype workflows for transfer to consumables and kits
  • Generation of impactful benchmark and biological data and collaborations for demonstrating technological and scientific leadership

Qualifications

  • Degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, proteomics, or a bioanalytical field
  • Master’s Degree or PhD with strong practical experience in proteomics
  • Deep, proven expertise in innovative proteomics workflow innovation 
    Hands‑on expertise in MS acquisition (i.e. PRM, targeted DIA)
  • Industry experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with proteomics software tools 
  • Strong data analysis, interpretation, and visualization skills, ideally using R
  • Independent, curious, and quality‑driven mindset with the ability to see the big picture
  • Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for scientific work
  • Excellent written and spoken English
