We are seeking an experienced Statutory and Tax Filling Senior Specialist (m/f/d) to join our dynamic finance team in Warsaw. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute significantly to our financial operations and reporting processes.

The Statutory and Tax Senior Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements and tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. This position combines technical expertise in accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory compliance with strong analytical skills to support accurate financial reporting and tax optimization strategies. The role requires deep knowledge of local and international tax laws, statutory accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Statutory Reporting & Compliance:

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP requirements across assigned jurisdictions
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns, regulatory reports, and compliance documentation
• Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits and provide comprehensive supporting documentation
• Monitor changes in statutory reporting requirements and assess impact on current processes and procedures
• Maintain statutory books and records in compliance with local regulatory requirements
• Prepare management reports analyzing variances between statutory and group reporting standards

Tax Compliance & Planning:

• Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, other tax filings for assigned entities
• Calculate and analyze current and deferred tax provisions under applicable accounting standards
• Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany pricing analysis
• Monitor tax law changes and communicate impact to stakeholders and management
• Assist in tax planning initiatives and optimization strategies
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on complex tax matters and special projects
• Maintain tax working papers and supporting documentation for audit purposes

Financial Analysis & Process Improvement:

• Perform detailed analysis of statutory and tax positions, identifying risks and opportunities
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for tax planning and statutory reporting purposes
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of tax and statutory workflows
• Prepare comprehensive management reporting on tax and statutory matters
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for tax and statutory requirements
• Document procedures and maintain up-to-date process documentation

Stakeholder Management & Support:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Treasury, Legal, and Operations
• Provide support for transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
• Assist in tender-related financial documentation when required.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
• Interface with tax authorities, regulatory bodies, and external advisors as required
• Support ad-hoc projects including acquisitions, restructuring, and system implementations
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Perform other duties as required. 

Education & Professional Certifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in statutory accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, or a related field
• Proven experience managing statutory reporting and tax compliance activities across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions
• Experience with international accounting and tax regulations in a multinational environment
• Big Four accounting firm and/or multinational corporation experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex compliance, reporting, audit, and regulatory requirements
• Proven track record of leading statutory audits and coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities

Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge of local statutory accounting principles and tax regulations
• Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards
• Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and financial reporting processes
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in an additional European language such as German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, or Czech is considered a strong advantage
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial analysis, reporting, and data management
• Experience with tax technology solutions, automation tools, and process improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

• Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
