Responsibilities

The function of the Service Technical Salesperson within the service department comprises activities in the area of after-sales and marketing with a special focus on contract sales. Through different ways (such as after-sales technical training, hotline operation problem solving, and even application development), the goal is to proactively market our service portfolio to our customers and key accounts and grow our service business significantly.

Responsibilities/ tasks:

  • Sales responsibility for the service portfolio in the territory of China
  • With a special focus on service contracts and billable service
  • Proactive market development and sale of service products to existing customers and key accounts
  • The most important contacting tools are telephone, e-mail, and internet
  • Regular visits to potential key accounts in China in close collaboration with the sales team
  • Develop and implement service marketing campaigns
  • Analysis of customer satisfaction and presentation of results to the local management
  • Increase customer satisfaction by improving internal processes in close collaboration with the commercial operations team
  • Provide after-sales operation training, respond to hotline support on the technical operation side, and even suggest customer applications to keep customers with Bruker.
  • Has the capability to install the system and troubleshoot to get the customers' trust.
  • Monitor and dispatch the fulfilments of the service contract, especially a plan for the maintenance contract (both parts pre-order and service engineer time booking).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, material science, environment, marketing, commercial management or pharmaceutical technology. Instrument analysis major is preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in equipment maintenance or sample testing.
  • Knowledge of analytical measurement technology is an advantage
  • Good networking and teamwork skills.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate and interact professionally with our customers.
  • Very good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Independent personality with great problem-solving skills, desire for responsibility and willingness to travel (20%-50%)
  • Strong technical skills involving analytical instrumentation.
  • Expertise in FT-IR spectroscopy, NIR-Raman technology, Remote Sensing, Microscopy, and laboratory organization is advantageous
