The Head of BBIO Marketing (m/f/d) defines and executes the marketing strategy for a significant BioSpin business or product division, shaping medium- to long-term growth priorities with high autonomy. The role applies modern, data-driven and innovative marketing approaches across positioning, demand generation, portfolio marketing and sales enablement to strengthen market presence, customer relevance, pipeline growth and New Order Bookings.

 

The role can be based in Germany or France.

 

As a senior strategic partner to Sales, Business/Product Management, Applications and Executive leadership, the position builds scalable operating models, high-performing teams and governance for global consistency, regional relevance and continuous improvement. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead Generation – Develop and prioritize lead generation activities that directly contribute to increasing New Order Bookings. Expand these initiatives into white-space opportunities across academic and industrial/pharma (B2B) segments. Significant experience, a proven track record in these markets, and a deep understanding of agentic sourcing are essential for success in this role.
  • Demand Generation and Funnel Performance – Build and govern scalable demand generation programs, including segmentation, targeting, nurturing, lead qualification, and funnel progression, with accountability for marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline performance.
  • Digital, Data and AI-Enabled Marketing – Advance a modern, data-driven, and AI-enabled marketing strategy by leveraging marketing automation, analytics, personalization, intent signals, and predictive insights to improve customer relevance, campaign effectiveness, lead quality, and sales prioritization.
  • Marketing Strategy and Business Ownership – Define and own the BBIO marketing vision, multi-year roadmap, and annual priorities, ensuring alignment with divisional growth objectives, portfolio strategy, and commercial targets.
  • Integrated Go-to-Market Planning – Translate business strategy into integrated go-to-market plans that connect customer segments, positioning, demand generation, sales enablement, and regional execution across the full customer journey.
  • Campaign Marketing – Lead campaign strategy across BBIO business areas, ensuring clear value propositions, differentiated positioning, prioritized launch plans, and measurable contributions to market adoption and revenue growth.
  • Global-to-Regional Marketing Orchestration – Drive the global-to-regional marketing operating model across APAC, China, India, Japan/Korea, the Americas, and EMEA, balancing global consistency with local execution, market maturity, customer segment needs, and sales priorities.
  • Commercial Enablement and Sales Partnership – Serve as a strategic partner to Sales, Business/Product Management, Applications, and Executive Leadership, ensuring marketing insights, assets, tools, and programs effectively support customer engagement and opportunity conversion.
  • Performance Management and KPI Governance – Establish and oversee marketing performance governance across key metrics, including brand awareness, digital engagement, qualified leads, pipeline contribution, campaign ROI, opportunity velocity, and New Order Bookings.
  • Organization, Talent and Capability Development – Lead, develop, and empower a high-performing, multi-disciplinary marketing organization spanning regional marketing, operational marketing, campaign marketing, business portfolio marketing, creative services, digital events, social media, multimedia, and marketing technology.
  • Budget, Resource and Investment Prioritization – Own and optimize marketing budgets, resources, and external partner investments, making data-driven decisions across regions, channels, technologies, campaigns, and strategic initiatives to maximize business impact.
  • Customer, Market and Competitive Intelligence – Translate customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, and commercial performance insights into actionable recommendations that drive positioning, campaign priorities, portfolio focus, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Innovation, Continuous Improvement and Responsible Governance – Champion innovative, best-in-class marketing practices while ensuring the responsible use of data, AI, brand assets, and external communications in alignment with business priorities, compliance requirements, and Bruker standards.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 10 - 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with substantial exposure to B2B environments and industries such as life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, medtech, or complex technology solutions.
  • Proven success in a senior marketing leadership role (Senior Manager, Associate Director, or Director level), leading high-performing teams and driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable impact on pipeline growth, demand generation, and commercial performance.
  • Experience working within global, matrixed, and internationally operating organizations, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with the ability to translate insights into actionable business outcomes.
  • Skilled at building alignment across functions, regions, and leadership teams.
  • Strong people leader with a passion for coaching, developing talent, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
