Bruker Life Science Mass Spectrometry Division in China is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Scientist to join our dynamic team and drive the growth of our mass spectrometry product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive technical support for Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MSI), addressing any issues or challenges faced by users.
  • Work aligns with our global MALDI imaging team, translate cutting-edge Bruker technologies into locally relevant workflows that solve real-world biological questions.
  • Own the technical content of nation-wide marketing campaigns: plan and deliver seminars, workshops, and roadshows in both Mandarin and fluent English.
  • Independently execute on-site or in-house demo experiments and advanced training courses. Design & execute entire MSI workflows: tissue preparation, matrix deposition, data processing and demo report writing .
  • Translate and culturally adapt global marketing collateral—brochures, technical notes, web content—while ensuring scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance for the Chinese market.
  • Communicate regularly with the factory product/marketing managers to develop local China marketing and tactics to align with the global strategy; to generate relevant marketing materials for China market; to organize and conduct internal training to sales team.

Qualifications

  • Master degree or Ph.D degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related field is a pre-requisite.
  • Experience in sample preparation, sample analysis and data analysis of MSI. 
  • ≥ 5 years of hands-on user experience in MS imaging, including MALDI- or DESI-based mass-spectrometry imaging. Experience with Bruker MS instrumentation is considered an advantage.
  • Highly motivated, team player, quick learner, self-starter and problem solver.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative research environment.
  • Ability to dissect problems and projects into manageable tasks.
