The Bruker AXS (BAXS) Division, which develops and manufactures instruments for structural and elemental analysis, is seeking a Technical Documentation Manager to join the Product and Content Marketing team.

 

The Technical Documentation Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality product manuals and technical documentation for complex analytical instruments. Based in Lisbon and part of the global Product & Content Marketing team, this role ensures accurate, consistent, and user-focused documentation aligned with product release timelines and regulatory requirements.

The position acts as the central coordination point for manual-related activities, working closely with R&D, production, product management, applications, service, and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical manuals and documentation deliverables across product lines and Business Units
  • Plan and manage documentation scope, structure, and timelines aligned with product releases
  • Drive structured authoring and content reuse to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Administer and optimize Schema ST4 (preferred), including workflows and templates
  • Coordinate cross-functional input to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure documentation quality, compliance, and usability
  • Continuously improve documentation processes, including support for future AI-based use cases
  • Align documentation with overall content strategy and terminology

Qualifications

  • Degree in Technical Communication or related field
  • Experience in technical writing or documentation management, ideally in scientific instrumentation (desired)
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-focused content
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international environments
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience with structured authoring systems (preferably Schema ST4)
  • Experience with SAP (desired) and MS Planner (desired)
  • Experience with 3D visualization tools (e.g., KeyShot) is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot)
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
